How to measure your foot correctly.
A sheet of paper, a pencil and a ruler. It takes about two minutes, and it is more reliable than the number printed inside your shoe.
- Put the paper on a hard floor, one edge against a wall.
- Stand on it with your heel touching the wall. Stand rather than sit: a foot spreads under your own weight, and that is the size you need.
- Mark the paper at the tip of your longest toe. Then mark both sides at the widest part of the foot, usually just behind the toes.
- Measure the length from the wall to the first mark, and the width between the other two.
Measure the foot you are ordering for. The two are rarely identical, and the difference is often a size.
Foot Lift Brace
Width first, shoe size second.
The shell has to sit across the widest part of the foot, so width is what settles it. Where your shoe size and your width point at different rows, follow the width.
| Size | Foot width | EU | UK | US men | US women | AU |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | up to 8 cm | 31–34 | under 2 | under 2.5 | under 4 | under 2 |
| M | 8.5 cm | 35–38 | 1.5–4 | 2.5–5 | 4–6.5 | 1.5–4 |
| L | 9 cm | 39–41 | 5–7 | 6–8 | 7.5–9.5 | 5–7 |
| XL | 9.5 cm | 42–44 | 8–10 | 9–11 | 10.5–12.5 | 8–10 |
| XXL | 10 cm | 45–46 | 11–13 | 12–14 | 13.5–15.5 | 11–13 |
Between two rows, take the larger one. XXL comes in gray only. Pick the side of the foot that needs the support.
Steady Ankle Brace
Your foot length decides it.
It comes in two sizes, and the length of your foot settles which. Your shoe size is a guide. The dial sets how firmly it holds once it is on.
| Size | Foot length | EU | UK | US men | US women |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| L | up to 25.5 cm (10 in) | 35–39 | 2.5–6 | 3.5–7 | 5–8.5 |
| XL | 25.5–29 cm (10–11.4 in) | 40–44 | 6.5–10 | 7.5–11 | 9–12.5 |
Close to the top of a row? Take the next size up. The same brace fits the left or the right ankle, so there is no side to choose.
Soft Night Foot Wrap
Go by the shoe you actually wear.
The cuff and the strap both adjust. The sole of the sock does not, so each size is made to its own length.
| Size | EU shoe size | Sole length | Width |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | 35–39 | 25.2 cm | 13.0 cm |
| M | 40–44 | 25.8 cm | 13.5 cm |
| L | 44 and above | 27.0 cm | 15.0 cm |
Between two sizes, take the larger one. The same item is worn on either foot, so there is no side to choose.
Posture & Lumbar Belt
Measure the waist, not the trousers.
Put the tape around your waist at the navel, over a thin layer, standing relaxed rather than holding your breath in. That number is the one that decides the size.
A warning: do not go by the size of your clothes. The numbers do not line up.
| Size | Waist, cm | Waist, inches |
|---|---|---|
| S | 66–76 | 26–30 |
| M | 77–87 | 30–34 |
| L | 88–98 | 35–39 |
| XL | 99–109 | 39–43 |
| XXL | 110–120 | 43–47 |
Between two rows, take the larger one — the belt tightens down, it does not stretch up. Gray only, and the same belt is worn by anyone, so there is no side to choose.
Knee Booster, the straps and the accessories
Nothing to measure.
Knee Booster
One size. It opens to 54 cm across and 30 cm tall, and the two straps above the knee close independently of the two below, so slim and fuller legs take the same brace.
Calf Stretch Strap
One size. The cradle closes over the foot with an ankle strap, and what you choose is not a size but a length and a loop: the webbing is an inch and a half wide, 3.4 ft (103 cm) in the Standard or 7.3 ft (221 cm) in the Long, with loops sewn down it.
No-Tie Laces
One size. Each lace is 100 cm long and 6 mm wide, and it is elastic, so it gives to the shoe rather than asking anything of your foot. They are listed for trainers, boots, casual, canvas and work shoes.
Long-Handle Shoehorn
One size, because the size is the length and you set it yourself. It adjusts between 41 and 70 cm and holds where you leave it.
Extra-Long Aluminum Shoehorn
The same idea with more of it: between 38 and 95 cm, so height stops being a question.
