One size. No left or right. Nothing to measure. The only thing to pick is the color: black disappears under dark pants, gray sits better under lighter ones.

Who it's for
  • People who feel discomfort or instability in the knee.
  • People who take stairs and step up and down curbs every day.
  • Anyone who wants help getting up from a chair, a bench or a car seat.
  • People who walk or stand for long hours.
  • Anyone who crouches to a low shelf, a garden bed or a grandchild and wants to get back up with ease.
How to put it on

Put it on with the leg straight. That is the easiest position to fasten it in.

The simplest way: open the brace out flat on a bed or a sofa, plate side down, and rest your straight leg on top of it so the springs sit behind the knee. Close the two straps below the knee first, then the two above. Tighten until it holds, firm but not too tight.

You can also put it on standing, though it is less comfortable.

Movement assist

Three carbon-steel springs sit in an aluminum hinge plate and return part of the effort when you straighten up.

It stays where you put it

Two straps above the knee, two below, pulling in opposite directions. That is what stops it sliding.

Built to breathe

Micro-perforated fabric lets heat out instead of holding it in.

Moments you know well.

Couple pausing beside a park bench

The walk that becomes a search for the next bench.

Woman getting up from an armchair

Getting out of a chair now only works with something to hold on to.

Man climbing stairs with one hand on the railing

The extra effort of climbing stairs or stepping over a curb.

How it supports you

Walks you don’t have to plan.

Walks, a curb, stairs: each one asks a little more of the knee than standing still does. The brace returns part of that effort as you straighten, so the movement stays yours and some of the work is shared.

Put it on, set the four straps, and go on with the day.

Everyday moments

From a seat beside them to the middle of the game.

The brace does not change the ground. It changes how much of that the knee has to absorb on its own.

How it works

Three springs in a hinge.

The plate behind the knee holds three carbon-steel springs. Bend past about 45° and they start to push back, returning part of the effort to you. That range comes into play when climbing stairs, stepping onto a curb or another raised surface.

Around the kneecap the brace is open, so nothing presses on it.

There is nothing to break in and no routine to follow. The springs are doing their work from the first time you wear it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Will one size really fit me?

It opens to 54 cm across and 30 cm tall, and the top and bottom tighten separately, so it suits a wide range of builds.

Buying it for a parent?

There is nothing to measure: one size, no left or right. Put it on with the leg straight, lying down or standing, and close the straps below the knee first, then the ones above.

Can I wear it under pants?

Yes. It is flat mesh with one slim hinge plate, not a molded shell. Regular-fit pants close over it.

Will it slide down when I walk?

Four straps, two above the knee and two below, close in opposite directions. That is what the wide butterfly shape is for, and it is why the brace does not travel down your leg as you walk.

Will it get in the way on stairs?

No. The hinge folds with the knee, so you bend as you normally would. The springs begin to push back from about 45° of bend, assisting as the leg straightens on stairs, curbs and other raised steps.
